How do I relieve Puffy Eyes?

Posted

Eye puffiness is a build-up of fluid in the tissues around your eyes. To reduce puffiness we recommend methods similar to those taken to reduce any kind of swelling. The following are "quick fixes" to temporarily encourage fluid to drain away from under your eyes.

Soak a face cloth or similar in cold water, if possible add some ice.

Squeeze out excess water then gently press over the entire eye area.

Repeat as necessary.

Some causes of puffy eyes are related to sleep deprivation and can be simply rectified by catching up on your Z's. If you have puffy eyes all day, take an early night.

Other Common Eye concerns:

- If it's dark circles you are trying to cover up we recommend Dermalogica Total Eye Care

- Combat visible lines around the eye area with Dermalogica Power Firm, a powerful firming complex of skin-rebuilding antioxidant vitamins from the AGE Smart range.

- Watch our video below on our most powerful eye cream - Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex to see why it is king of all eye creams.

The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate, which means it is extra susceptible and more likely to be the first to show any signs of skin damage caused by enviromental assaults.

Smart Tip when applying Eye Cream

When applying any eye creams always work from the outer corner of the eye inwards.Using your ring finger starting at the outer corner of the eye gently pat along the cheek bone towards the inner eye socket, then continue along the brow bone back to the outer eye. Basic circular movement.
